The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    hey guys, is there any way i can rid off the empowering technology on the upper right(show on the pic) of the screen without uninstalling it?

    right click on it and select exit :)

    You should be able to remove it from the startup list : hit Ctrl+r, then type msconfig, enter. The last panel on the right, then find it and uncheck it, that's done !

    i asked the same question and got all the right answers here on NBR.you can just remove all the third party software in "add and remove" in the control panel.make sure you have burnt the bootable dvd.

    then after you have removed all the junk.you will have one happy laptop. :D
