Hello, I bought an Acer Aspire 3680 a while ago, and i'd like to be able to hook it up to my new tv so I can watch my divx files easily. But I haven't got a scooby doo as to what cables to use or where to get them... i've had a quick look around but so far i've drawn blanks!

See the links for my model of TV and DVD HDD player, so you can understand connections on them... i'd be here all day trying to remember what they've got.. and i'd prob get it wrong!!

Hmm. can't see if your new tv has an svideo or a vga 15pin socket(like a monitor cable connection).
    your laptop has both :)
sound you will need mini jack to two phono (ask at maplins/pcworld)also ask for S-Video cable.
know if you have s-video it connects to a yellow socket on your laptop and then to the tv.
sound goes from headphone jack to one red one white phono plugs.
on your tv look for input on your remote or in the menu.
    select s-video.
need any more help use PM or Msn
    good luck
    Phil :D
