You should've burned your Acer eRecovery DVDs when you had the chance.
Acer doesn't provide discs - you're expected to burn your own recovery discs before you screw up your system.

i did, it's not working! when turn on the notebook, i just saw F2 and come out Bootmgr is missing, pres.Alt+...., tried to put recovery disc (disc 1, 2 or 3 & 1 driver) samething not working, i thought that disc (recovery disc copy) doesn't have Windows Vista in it, so are you sure it has windows vista istalling in it? how should i do!

You can try pressing Alt+F10 when it boots up and do a Factory State Restore if you haven't deleted the recovery partition.

Recovery disc will not install Vista but repair your laptop to it's original state(that includes your OS as well).

When I had that problem with my Lenovo, I didn't want to use my factory reset disks since I was still working on some papers for school that I didn't save in my other external media.

What I did was I borrowed a copy of Windows Vista Premium from one of my dormmates, and then did a Startup Repair with it. But if you don't care about your files (or if you backed them up) then use your recovery disks; also make sure that in your BIOS your DVD Drive is in the topmost boot order, that way the BIOS will look for the bootmgr on the recovery disks (which it should have) before looking at your hard drive (which, maybe got corrupted or something).

Let us know when you get it right :D

I almost forgot, there's also the free Windows Vista Recovery DVD you can download that will let you run a Startup Repair or Complete PC Restore just like the full install disc.
    Grab it over here.
