I somehow managed to delete the partition table on my Apsire 5670 while installing IE7 (I have no clue how that happened). Well, all the data on the drive is gone and there are no partitions, so I can't make the recovery DVD (I only had the computer for a few days and was out of DVD-R). Does anyone know where I could get a copy of the Recovery DVD (either from Acer or another source) or can someone link me to a site where I can get all of the apps that came preinstalled, such as the Acer Arcade and NTI stuff? TIA :)
BTW, I'm willing to do a fresh install from the XP Pro CD I have, so the drivers and software would be ok too.

    You have two options here:

    1) Contact Acer and ask them to send you all the recovery CD and the whole shebang - going to cost you around $40.

    2) Install XP using the Pro CD that you have, and go here to get all the drivers and software.

For the display, I highly suggest you get the ATi Catalyst drivers from either www.omegadrivers.net or from ATi's website. Don't bother about NTI - either google "CD Burner XP Pro" or get Nero. If your computer is free from errors after installing all them drivers, I think you should make an image of your drive using Acronis True Image or Symantec Ghost. R-Drive Image should also work.

Well, I went back to CompUSA and told them about it. The sales guy let me use the demo computer to burn it.
Thanks for the help tho :)

Did the same thing myself, talked to the CompUSA tech and he let me burn a recovery DVD. This was way before Acer had the drivers and software on their website. Sometime it's good to buy local.
