Help Me Select Which One...

OK, saw the Aspire Timeline 3810T on Newegg, and was impressed with the ratings, the price, and the weight. Battery life looks very good as well.

However, one of my requirements is that I need to be able to use my system outside, and my other requirement is that I need to be able to playback MKV files with subtitles smoothly. I have an EeePC 900HA that does the first reasonably well, but doesn't do the second well at all.

So, is the 3810T what I should be getting? Is there another model I should be looking at? I'd like to buy a system next week, so time is somewhat of the essence

3810t comes with glossy screen, so wouldn't be good idea for outside.
as for mkv, 720p would play fine with either c2s or c2d.

OK... is there another sub-$1K Acer that would meet my requirements? Preferably under 4 lbs as well?
