My laptop died compeltely so i bought a new one, however i want to recover my files from my old hard drive.

My broken laptop is a acer aspire 5315 series. i have removed the hard drive but im am not sure which SATA-usb cable to buy. anyone know what one will be compatable to my hard drive or does anyone have any advice thank you.

Your hard drive, I think it's "Serial ATA-150". Buy an external box for 2.5-inch hard drives Serial ATA and connect via USB or eSATA to the new laptop. That way you'll have a new external hard drive. I have a case Akasa with usb and ESATA.
