I need to open the case of my travelmate 3201xci. Does anyone have any screen shots or step by steps tutorials on how to do such a procedure? I unscrewed all of the visible screws underneath the computer. However, I was unable to get the shell off. Clearly there are hinges that are not visible to the naked eye. Please help me or my computer will suffer from a heatstroke. Thanks in advance….

I know that acer's european FTP site has all of the manuals that have been spawned to this date. Check it out. You should find your salvation there. :)

Thanks for the suggestion Vlad, however, I am still not able to locate some sort of step by step tutorial on how to open my machine. Today the fan stopped completely. I’m running my computer on the lowest cpu setting to minimize heat. I’ve also placed it near a large electric fan. Anyone who would know where to find how to, or who has opened their acer travelmate 3201 on their own please help. I believe the procedure is the same as replacing the second ram module under the keyboard via opening the case. Please help!

A little less than two years ago, the travelmate 3201xci was a hot commodity. Surely, someone, anyone, had to have upgraded their secondary ram slot and as a result opened their notebook casing. For those who have, or know of how, please help me; or my computer will die a painful death!
