Bought this for my father in law (who is French) to take back to France with him. System generally solid, but occasionally during boot from sleep, hibernate or off, the thing hangs with the fan running at 100%. And it has frozen with fans at 100% less frequently but while browsing the web or normal tasks like that.

Only way to get it to come up then is to hard reboot and hope it makes it.

Has anyone run into this before? I updated the OS to Win7 x64 ultimate and reinstalled all the drivers- maybe I missed something?

    Any advice appreciated!

Update the drivers instead of re-installing the old ones from Acer.
Most drivers can be downloaded from hardware manufacturers or from laptop2go forum.

If you have no luck with the drivers see if they have released a new BIOS for the computer and update that.
