    Hello all,

I did a total wipe out of the hard drive since Acer's software slowing my whole pc. I got all the drivers and stuff, but avoided installing most of the 'Acer' stuff software.

    I got couple of questions,

    1) How can I get the screen to show the volume level of sound and brightness back?

    2) Does the speakers sound that low or I missed something to install?

    thanks,

If you aren't using XP Media Center, you will need them "Acer" software that you didn't install. If you're using MCE, it has it's own OSD (on-screen display lol). I don't know what Acer stuff comes with a 4072.

If you have installed the latest audio drivers then I don't see what you might possibly be missing - your speakers might just be that low. Seriously, get headphones or external speakers.
