    Hi there!

    I am getting brand new Acer Aspire 8930G and intend to make it 64bit the first day in. COuld You tell me, are the all specs allright?

    That is a powerful computer. Very nice specs. Before switching to 64-bit, make sure you have all drivers, and that all your programs will work (which is not likely going to be a problem).

    that should be 64bit aready most machines that ship with 4GB of memory have 64bit.

    I did just what you are wanting to do but found that I couldn't find a copy of Acer Arcade Deluxe to install as the blu-ray player wouldn't play blu-ray disks with any other software. Thankfully I took a factory backup of the OS installed when I got it and just reverted back to that.

    Acer arcade is bloatware as far as im concerned, as is the acer empowering framework.
