    Hello Acer experts:

I have a problem that all of a sudden popped up out of nowhere regarding my Aspire 5672. I have a Sprint Wireless Broadband card installed in the expresscard slot that was working perfectly up until yesterday. It stopped working for no apparent reason (like dropping the notebook, installing other software, etc.) and I saw in the Device Manager that there is a problem w/ the NEC PCI to USB Open Host Controller, it shows "code 10". I did a fresh install from the recovery disk, updated all of my Sprint Connection Manager software, uninstalled and reinstalled the card reader drivers, and the Sprint card works for a little while then konks out again, showing the same NEC PCI problem.

Has anyone run into this? And any solutions to the problem? I'm wondering if it is a hardware issue w/ the motherboard or if I could solve this w/o bringing it in. I haven't messed w/ the BIOS yet since that can be a tricky area. I do have an extended warranty from Compusa so I'll bring it to them as a last resort.

Thanks for any help you may provide!
