Hi, I wanted to disassemble my Acer Aspire M5-583P (specifically, the 6428) to install an SSD. It is one of those ultra-book-like designs with a non-removable battery. Anyway, I removed all of the 18 screws on the back, but the plate does not want to come off. Is there some hidden screw or switch that I am missing?

    hallo, me from india.

you first unscrew all 18 of them then make flip it over and the keyboard will pop out, then remove the keyboarde real slowly, make sure you see where all the little cable are connected, move the little lock so you can remove them, oh make sure you do backup beforehand, is better to do clean install on ssd. and once you done, connect all the cables, lock the litte things with tweezzzers and put it back in place and either do clean install with usb (win 8 installation ) or have acer erecovery. or if you has external drive, then you can buy the installation cd or use the acer recovery thingy.
thank you, my name is ashish
    sorry for my english,

    i buy one m5 583
i also use ssd, my brother did it.
