Hi, I have an Acer Aspire 5251 running Win 7.

I did not get this laptop new. In E-Recovery I cannot make a Factory Default Backup Disc because 'the hard drive configuration has been changed from factory default.'

I was wondering if there were a way for me to configure the hard drive to allow me to create my restoration discs.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

eRecovery needs an intact recovery partition. If this has been wiped by the previous owner, you can't use eRecovery any more. You need to buy the recovery discs from Acer then.
