Hi there I have just got two Acer Aspire 9301.

On one I have been able to download MSN messenger 8 with the patch from the Acer website.

On the other machine I cannot get the Msn Messenger to load at all. When I hit the MSN icon on my desktop it takes me to download the programme again. I have tried and tried today without any suscess, anyone any ideas?

I am sure that his is something that will have been asked in the past and any information will be appreciated.

    Cheers

delete all you can find of msn on the second machine.
and i always delete the messenger file in C:/programmes.
as this helps with stopping popups and who do you know that still use's messenger.
MSN & Messenger are two different things.
and make sure IE is set to work online as this stops MSN working when it is set to work offline.
