I recently purchased an Acer Aspire 5100. I'm very happy with the laptop, the only problem is that I can't figure out how to come out of standby. I've tried the power button, spacebar, and pretty much every other button there is. Can someone please help me? Thank you!

Usually Windows responds by waking from standby when any button is pressed. Are you sure you are not hibernating?

On another note, Windows is known to struggle with resuming out of standby. There isn't much that can be done about this.

I had the same problem with my Acer 5100. I found that if you hold down the power button for about 10 seconds, it will come out of hibernate or standby.
