    Hi All,

I Have installed batterybar and it states the following....

    Capacity:7,515 mWh
    Full Lifetime: 26min
Battery wear: 85.9% of 53,280 mWh

    7515mWh lol

I am using vista 32bit home prem....What would be the best way to recalibrate this battery to see if I can get it back in sync before i go ahead and buy a new battery.

What is the best way to recalibrate the battery?

    Any help would be appreciated.

the easiest way is to boot into the bios screen and leave the notebook till it turns off overnight and then re-charge it in the morning.

Hi thanks for the quick response.

I left it on bios screen, battery lasted for around 20 minutes then it is apparently drained as I can no longer turn it back on....I then leave it on charge untill the battery indicator turns green on the laptop. I then bootup laptop and it now displays as follows

    Capacity:7,215 mWh
    Full Lifetime: 31min
Battery wear: 86.5% of 53,280 mWh

    Shall I keep doing this?

when it switches off in bootup....how much longer after the indicator turns green shall I leave it on charge?

I must be doing something wrong.

    Thanks

86.5% wear the battery is dead, get it replaced if under a year old or buy a new one.

The battery that came with the laptop is a sanyo lithium ion battery pack 6 cell 4400 mAh....

I have found 8 cell battery pack which is 4800mAh for the 6920g...would this be fine/better?

    Thanks

''8 cell battery pack which is 4800mAh for the 6920g''
thats what i bought off ebay and no problems so far although i keep the old one in when possible and when its on ac. bigger is better ;)
also you can find 4400 with 6 cells (original and copy) and 4400 with 8 cells ?? but the 8 cells may just be an attention grabber. check with seller first if your not sure.
