    Help- Multi Monitor On Acer Aspire 5536

    Hello people,
    ive got an acer aspire 5536. want to set up 2 external monitops. i bought a usb to vga adapter installed the software but for some reason the computer wont recognize the 2nd monitor. ive tried the adapter on 2 different laptops and it seems to work fine.
    any advice will be really appreciated

    Are you using an nvidia video card? I managed to make it work with two monitors, one on hdmi one on vga. Check the nvidia drivers, display menu -> set up multiple displays. I don't know how well your video card would work with a USB adapter.

    ive got ATI Radeon HD3200 card. i'll just ordered an hdmi cable. shd be here tuesday. will let you know how it goes.

    just so you know. i fixed it. apparently it was all to do with the adapter i bought. bought another one off amazon- Max Value usb to vga works fine
