Hi there. I own an ACER TravelMate 2490 which it was given to me as a gift with a dead display and battery. After investing some money in it, to make it usable, we had a power failure in our town and (weird) the DSL modem died and killed the onboard Broadcom LAN Chip from my laptop. The green LED still lits a little bit, but the device is undetectable. After some time the SD Card adapter started acting crazy, namely, the ENE chip. I could live without these, disabled from windows' device manager. The worse happened today, when my wifi card stopped working and at BIOS POST i get something like this:

    ERROR
Resource Conflict - PCI on Motherboard
    Bus: 06, Device: 04, Function: 03

    ERROR
Resource Conflict - PCI on Motherboard
    Bus: 06, Device: 04, Function: 04

    ERROR
Resource Conflict - PCI on Motherboard
    Bus: 06, Device: 04, Function: 05

    ERROR

    Bus: 06, Device: 04, Function: 06

    ERROR

    Bus: 06, Device: 04, Function: 07

They're probably more, because i see it scroll fast and this is all i could read.
I have the latest BIOS version installed for my laptop model.
The LAN adapter doesn't work anymore, the chip was fried, i've seen it.
The SD Card Reader and the other device, the PC Card II (or whatever) i cannot use, because of some resource conflict, shown in Device Manager. I don't really need these devices. I need my WiFi card for internet connection, and device manager says that it cannot start the device because there aren't enough resources. What if i could disable these devices from BIOS? There is no option for that, not that it isn't possible.
Device Manager shows that they're all on PCI Bus 6, Device 6 and different function id's.

I've resetted the BIOS - no change.

I'm thinking of buying a working motherboard for this laptop, but i can't afford it right now, plus it might be a waste of money. So i need to get this one working. I didn't see any hidden settings in the bios file, with Phoenix Bios Editor, that i could unhide, to disable these problematic devices.

    Thanks in advance!
