    Hi everyone...I own a new Aspire 5100 and I cannot use Limewire P2P.....I need the JavaRT and I cannot install that either....

    does anyone have a clue? gee, I miss XP :(

    now Java has verified that it is running, my Limewire will still not work...it says "lime wire was unable to load the JRT"

    make sure your Anti-virus is tip top using Limewire. :(

    It's a java issue and not anti-virus. You need java to run limewire and also if you use Opera browser. There are still some issues with java and Vista. They (Sun) did have a Vista Beta version that I couldn't get to work so i use the XP version.

    Thanks Hoggie and Orl....yup, I always scan a download before I open it....I think I might go back to AVG....I stopped using anything Norton years ago.

    I use Micro Trends Pc-Cillin. It's not free like AVG but I got it for 29 for 3 computers.

    29 is a good price and you can use it for 3 'puters. I think I have used AVG for a few years because at one time Norton turned into this HUGE system eating menace that slowed down everyones 'puters. I have a 90 day trial on my Norton, it seems to be Ok..... :)

    I use the Lavasoft Ad Aware for 5 years...I think I am going to buy it one day, I have respect for that product. :)
