Is there a higher resolution screen available for the 4810 timeline?

I guess lack of dual LVDS would be your main problem with higher resolution screen.

Yeah - for all intents and purposes a standard 1366x768 resolution will still be fine with single LVDS while FHD will require a dual LVDS. If the notebook supports dual LVDS that's half of the problem solved - you'd need an FHD screen and a dual-LVDS cable as well (otherwise you get half the wires) - the cable could possibly come from another Acer notebook.

The real problem is if the connector on the motherboard also lacks half of the cables - that's the end of it. Almost all Acer notebook that ere offered with lower resolutions had just a single LVDS channel (with a few exceptions - but literally few). I can't be sure about yours but at this point your main and only concern should be verifying if 4810 has single or dual LVDS.

LVDS is a communications protocol - although I'm not sure if it's actually LVDS or maybe FPD-Link - either way it's being referred to as LVDS in notebook community so no point introducing other names to make it even more confusing.

Gotcha. I shall do some snooping around and see what I can find. Next issue if It does indeed have dual lvds is find a display that fits the case.
