    Hi,
    Just got a TM 8204.

Does anybody's power supply brick get phenomenally hot, almost to the point that it is too hot to hold?

Yes, but only when running games, and to be honest EVERY power supply brick I've ever had has that same issue.

Seems to just be part of power supply bricks.
