How can you allocate more memory to GS45 chipset on 3810TZ

All litereature says it can access max memory of 1759mb

When I enter bios 1.28 on my 3810TZ w SU4100 and 3GB DDR3 I have no ability to access the video menu subsection

It has 64 dedicated video and the balance from system memory maxed out to 1308

Is it even possible to increase the video memory? I have adjusted settings in windows on the Intel Graphics Menu but nothing is changed within bios. Does it automatically draw more menu if configured properly is there anyway one knows if the max amount of system memory is being used?

I thought initially I could not increase it since I had a max of 3gb but other users are reporting no change with 4gb or 6gb total ddr3 in system

    Thanks

    CK

whatever you change in windows wont change in the bios
thats setting will be set in windows when its loaded
it has 64mb dedicated video ram that you cant change, what you can change is how much system ram it can use, thats why it doesnt showup in the bios

    Hi,
I translate "dedicated VGA RAM" with "has a separate memory chip somewhere". But I haven't found any hint for that in Intel's documentation. So I have to assume, Acer simply assigns a fixed fraction of the system's memory and calls that "dedicated", which I consider misleading. :(
