:( I have the multimedia buttons (Vol+, Vol-, Play/Stop button, FF, FB) on the side of my laptop (Acer 3690), however they are not functional. I think they are disabled somehow. Could anyone please let me know how I can enable them.

    Many Thanks

Thanks for your reply. I have downloaded the file but there are about 20-30 files in the folder, which file would I have to run? Thanks

Sorry please ignore my previous post, my WinRAR wasn't working so I was a bit confused. Thanks very much for your help. I will try it out and let you know whether it has solved the problem.

Great. The problem is fixed many Thanks. The other problem I have now is that the center button between the left and right mouse buttons (which serves as a 4-way scroll button) under the touch pad does not work. Do I need to install a seperate driver or is there something that I need to enable? Many Thanks for your help again.

download and install the ALPS driver....

in the TOUCHPAD.ZIP driver for my model there are both synaptics and ALPS drivers...

the synaptics driver causes the cursor to jump all over while typing...
the alps solved that problem and the SCROLL button works perfectly

    edit:

if the driver for your model doesn't have an ALPS driver.. just download the touchpad.zip for the aspire 5315 and install the ALPS driver for it!

the driver package for your system doesn't include the ALPS driver
