    How do I install windows 7 onto a new hard drive.

    I have just replaced the hard drive on my 4820T. When I startup the computer and select the CD drive as the boot device, the windows bar at the bottom loads. Then I just get a blinking cursor on a black screen.

    Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

    did you install your harddrive properly? did you format it? enable it in bios?

    Ok I manged to fix it. I took the battery out and kept my finger pressed on the power button for 30 seconds.
