Hi, I got an Acer Aspire 5749 (i3-2350M @2.3 Ghz, 4 GB RAM) laptop that I bought 4 months ago and want to upgrade its internal 3d card's (which is the 'Intel HD Graphics 3000') drivers so it'll improve the gaming performance...

I've right clicked on my desktop and chose 'graphics properties' then 'Intel Graphics & Media Control Panel' pops up. Then went to Options and Support > Information Center and saved in the info as a text file: View attachment yyy.txt

Has anyone done that or is it even possible? If yes, then how do I do that?

1st link: same msg as above.

2nd link: I got this msg on the website: "A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver Update Utility is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues. Contact your computer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer."

Really strange. Usually Acer allows generic drivers unless a switchable laptop which yours is not.
Only suggestion is trying to find a modified driver.
