I have an ATI Radeon x1600 and am curious as to how I can update the new drivers for it (is that the term... drivers?)

I've never updated a video card before... mainly because I did not want to mess things up... so would this be easy and safe?

    Thanks!

If you are like me, trying to find Cat 6.5 drivers so u can run HL2 Episode 1 with HDR, the Omega Drivers won't help. There aren't 6.5 drivers for the mobility x1X00 series yet, nor will there be for at least a months (in words of an ATi employee). =(

I am using the Dhzer0point Catalyst 6.5 drivers on my notebook. They include the complete modern Catalyst Control Center and not the old control panel extensions.
