Please only vote if you are happy with your Acer!
Just wondering, so, how long as everyone had theirs, and if they are happy with it. Please comment if you would like.

Why would it matter if the person is happy or not with their Acer?
-
40 very miserable months.
-
I want to see if people have had their Acer's long, and are happy with them, not people that have had it long, but can't stand it.

I've had my current Acer (5672wlmi) for under a year. I had my Acer Travelmate 4000lci for little over a year before I upgraded to this current pc.
Been happy with both.

Yes that's good,I have my Acer for about 5 months and I am happy NOW.
I was miserable for first 3 months because I had BIG problems with it,soundcard and modem would just stop working, reinstalling drivers was not helping (could not detect modem at all),BSOD's all day long...Reinstalling Windows would help for few days and then the same story all over again.
Didn't know about hidden partition at all and the guy who reinstalled my OS didn't know about it also so he completely formated my HDD.Good bye PQService and my backup DVD is not working so I was close to throwing it away and end my agony.
Nearest Acer service is 500 km far so the last thing I did was to take it there (stupid I know) and they just flashed my BIOS and now everything is working OK and I am finaly happy.
So you could say I am happy now but when time comes for reinstalling OS then I will not be so happy.

I've had my 5672WLMi for five months and absolutely love it, once I reformatted the HD with a clean install.

I've had my Acer 5500Z since May. 14" screen, 1.7 Ghz, 1Gb Ram. No problems whatsever :O)
At 2.5 kgs I'd like something a little lighter and have been researching an upgrade for that reason, but there is absolutely nothing on the market at the moment that makes an upgrade worth the expense. All the lighter machines have tiny 12" screens and most of them have lower specifications.
The only exception is the Vaio SZ3 but it costs a bomb and has no international warranty.
I really can't fault my Acer :O) -
Yea, I mean I have some keyboard flex, and a BSOD for a entire day, but nothing to cry about, I am very happy with mine!
I really don't think Acer is something people should look at as bad, they just have a few lemons... -

no keyboard flex on mine, it's a lovely machine

I had my 5672 for 8 months (bought it a year ago) before selling it. It did what it was supposed to. However, it was heavy, uninnovative, and cheap.
My HP nc6400 (14.1", 4.5 lbs) is much more exciting, even though it has mostly the same performance characteristics. -
love my current one about 2 weeks old, my old one was good to and i have it for a 1.5 years

What do you mean?
Also, How many people that have been replying in here, are really happy with their laptops, and would buy another Acer. Or have had minuimal problems. -
I had my laptop aspire 1620 for 2.5 years.
Happy with it until 2 weeks ago when it suddently shut down and never boot up again.
During the last 2.5 years the computer was switching off ,only when i was going to sleep. Hundreds of hours next to me.
my laptop is live again!!!!What i did? Nothing.just see this thread on the relevant message. -
I had my Acer Asipre 5003WMLi for 3 months and its getting along fine at the moment (touchwood). However I was gutted to see a stuck (possibly dead?) pixel on my LCD only 2 days after receiving it. Though it is at the far right of my screen so I hardly see it most of the time and nothing I can do much about that really.
In terms of ownership appreciation though, I still prefer my IBM Thinkpad R50e over my Acer if I have to be honest. The build quality of the Thinkpad is better and stiffer while there is some flexing on my Aspire (the screen tends to rock back and forth with slight movements). Otherwise the Acer is a fine machine to use. -
Mine too!
but I made a thread about it, and was told to take the back of the laptop off and to tighten the screws slightly for the screen (along with other instrucutions they gave). I was going to try, but I thought it might void my warranty. Can't do that!
How long have you had your Acer?
