How to Partition Acer AO751H Netbook and enable "Alt" + "F10" D2D Recovery.

For this method you'll need to remove the hard disk and access it from another PC. I used a SATA to USB external enclosure.

    I also used Paragon Partition Manager™ 10.0.

    Proceed at own risk!

    1. Ensure your Acer AO751H Netbook is working with Windows XP and that "Alt" + "F10" functions correctly.

    * I couldn't access the hard disk with any tools that booted from USB. I didn't try to install Paragon Partition Manager™ 10.0 onto the Acer AO751H Netbook.

    2. Turn off, unplug and remove hard disk.

    * Backup any personnel data first!

    3. Install disk in USB encloseure and access using Paragon Partition Manager™ 10.0.

    * Backup MBR and PQSERVICE before continuing as a precauction.

    4. Resize the ACER partition - LEAVE THE FREE SPACE AT BEGINING approx 3.62MiB - ONLY Resize from ACER Partition.

    5. Create New NTFS Partition - I labled it DATA as ACER do if factory partitioned.

    6. Safely remove hard disk from PC once complete and install back in Acer AO751H Netbook.

    7. Plug in mains and boot Acer AO751H Netbook normally. It should go to Windows XP after a disk check. You'll see ACER and DATA as C and D.

    * You can reboot and try "Alt" + "F10" as I did but it'll fail.

    8. Reboot and press "F12" Boot Menu. Use option "3. PCI BEV: Realtek Boot Agent." Allow it to complete with "Operating System not found".

    9. "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "Del" to reboot and now try "Alt" + "F10". The restore will leave the DATA partition alone :D

all this might be possible by disable D2D in BIOS befor removing disk to partition then enable it after second boot

    Things of note are:
    the 3.62MiB of free space
    recovery to \harddisk0\partition2
using "F12" option 3. PCI to enable D2D

Hope this is of use in enableing D2D even without removing your drive.
