    Hi All,

I've been trying to use the HDMI-out on my acer 5920G with 8600mGT, but it does not seem to work.
Anybody who can tell me how to do this, or why it is not working?
I tried different Nvidia and LV2go-drivers but no difference.
Or do I need special (DVD-) software for this?

Any help is appreciated because I really need this!!

No answers, does this mean nobody is using HDMI on their 5920 or that nobody has problems using it?

Sorry I don't have 5920 and never tried my own HDMI-out. Try posting in 5920 forums.

i just tried the HDMI on my 8920 and once i plugged it into my sony lcd tv it just work without the need of activating anything so i think if u plugged it into an external display it should automatically work.

    Hello!

I have 5920G and using it with HDMI-2-DVI adapter and "old" Samsung 213T external monitor.

Just connect laptop and monitor, go to display settings and config your setup (which monitor to use, screen size, primary or secondary ...).

Worked out of the box without any special software or new drivers.

    Thanks for your replies.

I contacted Acer-support to ask if my laptop can be repaired.
They told me I have to disable the video-card and then the HDMI will work.
Tonight I am going to try it!

Disable the video card? Weird..And now you're supposed to run video file without video card or I'm missing something here?

Well, I disabled the videocarddrivers in the controlpanel and nothing happened.
(the screen went to native VGA-resolution(640 by..).
So I enabled them again with the tv connected....
    And it worked!!!!
No sound yet but maybe that will be possible too...

Nice. HDMI connect is video only, I think. You should connect the audio headphones-to-tv
