Ok, as the title says, I have Acer Aspire 5720 and originally Win Visa is installed on it.

The problem is that I don't like Win Vista at all and I want to change it to Win XP.

But most of the drivers I found online are ONLY for Win Vista so I'm not sure if those drivers will work correctly on Win XP.

    What should I do?

    Thanks,

    Fidel

I've had a quick look at the acer america site and they have some xp drivers there, if you have a look at the 5720 and g and z models, there are some there.

If you use vista drivers you will have compatibility issues, so if you have problems finding them, go to the device manufacturers page and you should be able to find them there.

before you do it, create a system restore disc (somewhere in the acer subfolders) if they haven't given you the vista cd/dvd's. just in case you need to revert to vista or need it

Yeah, there are some drivers for XP but I don't know if there are all the ones I need to run XP correctly.

I don't want to use anything related to Vista because it sucks in my opinion. I have problems with most of the programs, games and other software so I really don't like Vista at all and I want to have the XP I always used on other computers.

    P.S. I don't want to backup anything.

All the data I had [photos, music and documents] is already backup-ed so I just want to uninstall it and install Win XP.

[unless I need to backup some system files]
