I have read many pages so far in this forum and dediced to flash my bios of acer5520g laptop in box.I'll buy a geforce 9600m gs and change it with 8400m g.(I coudnt find 9600gt not available in my country). But I have never updated a bios so far.I dont want to make a mistake and waste my motherboard. What is the most secure way of flashing acer using bios patches in this page http://forum.notebookreview.com/acer/575866-acer-mxm-bios-mods-discussion-x920g-vs-9600m-gt.html.

May be .NetRolller 3D may help me.I found a phoenix crisis usb disk builder just in case.İt seems like working with my 8gb hp flash drive. And Phoenix Winphlash-2.0.2.9 for flashing.

Before all ,Do I really need to flash bios to have 9600m g series to work on 5520g?İs it plug and play?Should I give it a try before flashing anything?

Try with the original BIOS first. (Only the 5920G requires the modded BIOS to be installed before plugging in the card.)
