Laptop came with vista. I had windows xp installed. Now I want to go back to vista but my recovery cds don't work. I am pretty sure that having a windows xp caused ghost partiton wiped that revorery cds work in conjuction with. I wrote several e mails to acer they send me links (The Hard Drive Prep Application ) but it didnt work.
How can I go back to original factory settings?
    Thanks a lot.

Try to press ALT+F10(repeatedly) as soon as you turn on the laptop, but first make sure your D2D Recovery option is enabled in BIOS.
