Hey guys. I installed a modified bios 1.28 for my Acer TravelMate 8371, however I would now like to go back to the offical bios because it does not work as intended. For example, I cannot access anything other than 'switchable graphics' option within the bios. I also seem to be locked into 'limited' user-access mode so I cannot change to 'full' mode to unlock the rest of the bios. Ok many thanks for any help.

The official instructions to install the bios (i.e. the windows setup) does not work as it says they are the same value. I was therefore wondering if a) how to revert back to the official bios or b) how to unlock everything in the bios although I fear that option b is not possilbe. Many thanks.

Flash to an older version of official BIOS and then to official version of 1.28.
It should allow you to flash an older version as it's not the same as the one your using and from there you can simply upgrade to official 1.28 or any other version you want.
