I tried using the copy and paste techniques, but that didn't work, I couldn't delete the programs that were in Hard Drive C after I pasted it to Hard Drive D. I'm using an Extensa 4420 and Windows Vista. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Len.

what files you trying to move?

I don't think you can move like that Programs from one to another hard drive since those programs came with an installer, unless they could be started directly from .exe.

You cannot copy and paste "most" program folders to another hard drive and expect the program to work 100%. This is due to the registry entries, extra files loaded into the Window's folder or user account, system files, etc.
One way to move your programs flawlessly to another hard drive is to clone your hard drive (Acronis Backup and Recovery, etc.) and make an image of it. Then load that image to the other hard drive.
