Hello, I'm sorry if this thread is in the wrong discussion area.

I have the Acer Aspire 5630. The hidden partition is still in tact and has not been modified in anyway. I need to reformat my Laptop back to factory settings, it should be noted that Acer's Utilities (empowering technology, eRecovery) do not work on my laptop. but I do have windows vista currently running on it.

If I use ALT+F10 to get into the recovery mode, I come to a screen where the only editable field is:

    [ NOEXECUTE=OPTIN ]

No matter what I type inside this field, when I press enter the Laptop continues to load windows.

My question is this: Is it possible to use this hidden partition to reload factory settings, and if so... How?

    Thank you in advance.
