My Extensa 4420 has a webcam. I can turn it on and see ugly pictures of me staring at the computer screen. The question I have, is what can I do with the camera. The computer does not seem to have come with any software that I can use to record video. Is there any free software that will do this?

There are a tonne of web cam utilities out there and the trick is to find the best for the cheapest (free!). I'm not much of a webcam user, but many seem to like CamStudio ( http://camstudio.org/). Open source is always good. Now get going and record some videos! :p

Best Software i have came across for webcams is Webcammax, i dont know if its free, but u can get it for free if u know how to. it lets u do stuff to the webcam while online and stuff. but u should have software somewhere on ur pc that lets u take pics and videos and stuff, have a deeper look..
