How's Su9400 for Multi-tasking? will it get stuck if a few or more programs will be running at the same time?

It's going to strugle doing more than 1 intensive thing (eg unzipping and video encoding), should be able to do multiple office apps.

and another question, will I be able to OC su9400? if yes , how much , and will it help ?

HD Movies run fine on Intel 4500.

For games you'll need the 5810TG with ATI 4330.

    oh ok. thank you.
So .. what's the kind of multi-tasking that su9400 will get stuck and have problems with? MODO 401, 3dmax ,and Photoshop at the same time? that kind of thing?

If you have two 100% CPU jobs it will slow down any Core 2 Duo. Even a 3.1Ghz.

That would slow it down a lot yes, at least: if you're running a CPU dependent job in those applications.

I have E8400 in my desktop computer , I run so much apps (modo ,ps...) at the sime time and it doesn't slow for a minute (but it's OCed to 3.8 =P)
Can I OC su9400 ? I heard it has good cooling in 5810t...

ok , thank you. So ... do you suggest I buy this laptop ? or look for another one?
what I do is pretty basic actually , internet , music , little of photoshop , chatting , watching movies(HD) , and modo but I'm afraid that would be too mush for su9400 , especially the rendering part...
I thought about 5810T mostly for its long battery life and light wait(compared to other 15"s)
Is there already/or going to come out in the near future a laptop that can also last for 7-8 hours , light, and has got good performance?

I think SU9400 is enough for you.

But if you want more power: Laptops like Lenovo T400 (or Dell E6400) can reach similar battery life on 9 cell I think. If you look at the outlet stores or Ebay you can find cheap deals.

but they're heavy, aren't they? I mean with a 9-cell battery? and it seems that if I upgrade the battery to 9-cell those two (T400 and E6400) will exceed the price of 5810T (which is about 1200$ in abroad for te su9400 version)
    Or I'm wrong?
by the way , are there going to be new laptops released in the next few months? I can wait, if it's worth it =P

I was assuming you're in the US where you can buy them for cheap of the outlet/ebay. And yes they're more heavy with 9 cell.

You have probably noticed my bad english =P
I'm from Israel. 5810T here costs actually more than 1200$ life in europe , you need to add 15.5% , so it will be....about 1400$ . Which is pretty expensive for a not such a strong computer...
