Hi everyone i am new in this forum, i hope i will get a good support from you guys as the others are getting

i was replacing my LCD screen on my Acer Aspire 4310 Laptop after i put in the new LCD nothing showed unless you flash a light towards the LCD you could see a faded image,

so i thought i would better replace the inverter as well so i got a new inverter now when i was pulling out the 6-pin connector from the inverter it broke into pieces and the cables are mixed up now i cant figure out on what sequence or color should i arrange the cable into the connector

hope to hear from you soon

Welcome to the forum Shakeeb iringa!

Best you actually can do is to search on youtube etc. to find a screen replacement video and check it out.. Or wait for ajbutch123 to give you the result..

Either way, Good Luck and let us know the result!

Sorry to hear that. I have to be honest no other idea about where you can get the informtion... If you find another 4310 owner, maybe you can kindly ask for him to check.. Good Luck!!

Have you tried using the Acer Service Manual for your model to see if that helps things?

    I have a umm 4330 and 4720 or something.

I don't think they share the same LCD cable. Ill check in a second. They are incredibly similar models but have slight strange differences.

I think one of them is the same motherboard and LCD cable as yours so if you need the pinout you are in luck. :)

Yeah sorry typo! (=___=) Was using my work issued ASUS at the time typing the message so it crept in my head! But the service manual is correct for the Acer model in question.

I don't see grey wires on either of these 2 LCD cables. Are you sure about that?

My machines are actually a 4330 and extensa 4630. So I guess you're not actually in luck if you have a grey wire. :/ I thought one of mine was the same chassis as yours.

I think Ebay is a better place to look for pictures. It also says yours is the same cable as 4710 4310 4315 4920

Wait, what color are the pins at the connector to MB? If you know where the colors are connected to the motherboard, we can probably assume they are the same pinout as another Acer and trace the location of the 6 with a different colored cable. :)

Unfortunately there are more than 1 of each color, so there is no simple way to trace it. I agree a replacement cable would be simpler now.

There is 1 other thing you can do if you have a multimeter, test the voltage of all of the wires when the laptop is turned on. 12v should be the top pin. This will turn on the backlight even if you can't control the brightness.

    Good luck!
