I'm not were I should post this, but I guess posting here doesn't hurt?, anyways Im on an Acer Aspire 6920g, and I've been having this problem for quite a while..and its bugging me.
I'm not sure how this is caused but I think happens mostly when I'm gaming, sometimes when I boot bf2142, I get BSOD, or while in the middle of the game, I'll get BSOD. Or sometimes i get fuzzy screen by clicking something on my computer, it pretty much freezes. Its frozen and then the screen gets distorted in a pixely way. So, is this a virus, or do I need to update something, could it be my antispyware and antivirus real time interfering, of i have some glitch in my system. Help please.
    Thanks.

I currently have this laptop too and had the same problem.. I've upgraded the Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager driver to the latest version.. just yesterday did this.. so it's working for now..
The problem has to do with SATA controller.. which is set to AHCI by default.. and older drivers have bugs.. try reading these articles :

    and http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=334884

After you upgrade the drivers or use the methods described there..and if it doesn't work ... remains only 1 solution.. Setting your SATA mode to IDE from BIOS which will solve the problem..but I don't know exactly what are the repercussions for this.. I'll search for and find out soon..
To me works with upgraded drivers.. for now.. keep in touch
    Hope this will help you..
