I was wondering if anyone else out there has one. I plan on watching movies, music, and youtubing... I will also use it for CAD and school work like word processing and spreadsheets etc...

I am not sure how the reliability is. I read many reviews and most are ok.

    This is what I got.

I read allot about the SSD failing. Can I disable the SSD or taking it out and just use the HDD?

I hope this lasts 3-4 years. I need it for school.

Please help, I need advice. Laptops in some weird way actually boost my confidence in school. I hope it lasts.

SSD on this particular notebook is used as cache not to store data so even if it failed you wouldn't loose any data.
You can remove it but again- you won't improve anything this way.

Thanks again! It just has such a HUGE failure rate that's why i didnt want it. How's the model otherwise? Think it will last 3 or 4 years?

assuming you treat it nicely, I don't see why it shouldn't last ;) if you do have that much remorse it seems you have 30 days to return it.

Some people treat their consumer rated laptops like they are military field tested and rated. I've never thrown any laptop around and very careful about not dropping them or spilling drinks.
Treat it well and it should last. I notice it is used/refurbished which is always taking a bit of a chance.
I have had very good experience with manufacturer refurbished products though, couldn't tell the difference from new.

Oh yea, always open a laptop by the middle front of the screen. Never open using the corners or sides. Easy way to bust hinges or crack the case.

Once again, I don't, but since no one else threw you a bone, this should help you decide if you'd like to keep it.
