    Hi,

I was considering wiping clean my Acer parition C and D and KEEPING the PQSERVICE partition just incase I ever need it again.

What I need to know is where can I get ALL of the drivers for my laptop? I also need all programs that make the wireless button work, empowering technology button, email button, Internet button etc etc.

Basically I want to be able to download every driver for my laptop. I don't want to install it and then realise there are drivers missing for key parts of the computer!!! The reason for doing this is so I can install XP Pro MCE 2005 and also by doing a clean install I feel it should make the laptop perform at its best. There is hardly any rubbish on it when you get the laptop but I still think it will perform better with my own clean installation done.

Do ACER have all drivers for download and will my wireless button on the front work etc. Also can I then download empowering technology tools incase I ever need to use them. I.E to restore my original installation (For example when selling the laptop).

Is WButton.exe included in the drivers for the wireless card?
I know that this process is required to make the wireless button on the front work correctly. Once I install the driver does it automatically install this and add it to the startup processes??

Button managers are usually separate from drivers. What model do you have?

I know the launchmanager controls the buttons to open the following:

    Email
    Internet Browser
    Empowering Technology
And one to open launch manager itself.

This also allows you to choose what each of the above buttons will actually open.

I do not know however where to get the WButton.exe that I see running in my processes. To test this I disabled it at start up and sure enough the wireless button did nothing. Therefore it is definitely needed to make the button work. So I would need it when doing a clean install.
