    hi everyone

i have a problem with my infrared port
i got a nokia N95 and i put a load of pics from my comp on the N95 via the infrared port
then i installed a couple of new programs including the once for the phone
after that the phone would not connect to my laptop via infrared
so i did a system restore and it worked again but in doing so i lost the shortcuts and menu access to those newly installed programs...DOH.. should have seen that coming
so i thought never mind i just go and recover it
backed everything up, recovered the driveand did all the microsoft updates to be running propperly.
    the infrared port worked fine
i reinstalled all my progams amd went to put a few pics on the phone again and i was back to square one. the phone and comp do not connect over the infrared port
there is obviously some issue o don't understand
so how can i get the port working again
i will not do a system restore again or i be back to square one

thanx for taking the time to read this :)
