Exact same unit, as they have the same SKU #

Not sure about the price difference though...

would you recommend this model? are there some things you are apprehensive about?

The awkward keyboard could be a + or - i guess i'll only know if i buy it, another thiing that troubled me was the screen resolution.... will it be enough?

Keyboard is kurved for a reason. It is easier on your wrists and will feel more natural when getting used to it. For the price/features it offers you just can't go wrong with this notebook! 64-bit ready aswell. All 64-bit drivers officialy provided by Acer. In UK you can even get it with Windows XP 64-bit factory installed. Should tell you something about Acers 64-bit support! They are the first along with MSI to provide this for their 64-bit notebooks.

Well, the keyboard is fine IMO, the angle does not affect the position much & getting used to it is pretty easy. The screen resolution depends on your uses, for surfing & similar tasks the WXGA is fine, it is only a problem when you try to open 2 word documents side by side...other than that WXGA is fine for almost anybody.
