    Installed Vista Ultimate and lost all ACER drivers!!! (wireless, em. tech button etc.)

    I installed Vista Ultimate and now the empowering technology button of my notebook does not active the acer empowering technology menu. My wireless doesn't work, Volume knob doesn't work, and other buttons on my laptop are not setup. It is an Acer Aspire 4720. please help me!!!

    Sometimes we need to do a bit of a background before we just jump in and redo our system. Of course the reinstallation requires you to find and reinstall all the drivers once again. You are lucky Greg53 jumped in and had the knowledge to point you in the right direction.

    If you look at control panel/device manager...you will see yellow exclamations by all the hardware drivers tha need to be found and installed.

    I second what Les has stated, you need to do some research prior to jumping in and upgrading/downgrading your OS.
