As above, installed windows 7. I first made a disk from acer erecovery of all the drivers and software, so have them all. But the only one that does not work is the eAudio management, when I start it up it says "sorry! Operating system is not supported"

In windows itself I can set the speakers to 5.1 and it sort of works, but as soon as I play a movie only two speakers work. So watching blu ray movies is pretty crap.

Anyone have a solution? If not Ill have to go to vista 64 bit until October, its a shame because I have a full version of 7 too, just wished all the software was working!

I have narrowed this down to a problem with the acer arcade.

Surround sound (all speakers) work in windows but when using the arcade only 2 are used.

I have gone into the settings and then to audio, it then only gives an option of 2 speakers, headphones or spdif (or whatever that is!). So it must be this application. I have managed to get the eaudio management working by putting it in compatibility mode for vista.

I just hate watching blu ray or dvds with just 2 speakers working, its not as if it is left and right either, it is just two left speakers and it just sounds weird!! Anyone else had any problems?

I am really thinking about changing back to vista, I am liking windows 7 though, it is pretty cool!

I have looked further and acer arcade deluxe says my audio decoder is 2 channel.

Can someone with vista (basically actory) acer 8930G check if theirs says 5.1 or 2? If you go to settings and then about, that is where the info is displayed.

Anyone know where I can get 5.1 audio decoder for this? Really annoying me to the point of uninstalling windows 7 and going back to vista!
