    Hello

I have hunted the web and cannot find anything relating to installing the Bluetooth module in this notebook.

I have got the part from the Acer Spare Parts company (Esplex), I have had the notebook apart and can see the connector (as shown on image from Esplex) but it won't fit! According to Esplex there should be a cable to connect to the chip but its missing AND there isn't a cable listed on their parts list!

The part number I have is 54.TB2V1.001 (Its the BCM2045 chip).

Any suggestions welcome! The only other solution is to send it to Esplex (I have to pay £40 for them to collect it and they don't even give you a quote for the work until they are in receipt of the laptop!!).

    Kevin.

    Hi,

I been trying to find a way to get hold of this part and also install it myself. How did you get hold of it and if you dont mind me asking how much was it? Any joy on installation instructions as well?

    Thanks

    Hi There!

I ordered it from Esplex who are the supplier for Acer in the UK, if you contact your local Acer support and request the details for the parts supplier.

I paid £40 for the chip and then fitted it myself - with some very little instructions from Esplex - you will however need to get the cable because it isn't in the laptop and isn't supplied as standard with the chip - I will try and locate the part number for it.

If you PM me your e-mail address and I will forward you the photos.

    Kev.

You need the cable, it's as expensive as the module itself... I personnaly fited a cheap usb2 module, unmounted, and builded the cable myself. It works great.

The cable didn't cost me anything - the guy just sent it to me.

Hi, i bought the module from notebook solutions. They sent me a manual too. It looks pretty involving..taking the whole laptop apart. Eeek, what have i done! Any tips on how not to completely bugger my laptop? :)
