I've just downloaded the LAN Drivers from the ACER support site (for my Aspire 5630 notebook), and found them to be cat and inf files. I have no idea how to install these kind of files - can anyone help?

Fix: Open device manager, right click on Ethernet Controller and choose 'update driver'. Select 'no' to windows update search, and select the button on the next screen that allows you to search from a specific location. Direct windows to the folder you downloaded the LAN drivers into and hey presto. I wish ACER made this a bit more obvious.
