I have a solution for this problem, I think many people find it useful.

To turn off the Intel Switchable graphics autoswitching:

    1. Put the taskkill.lnk into C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup folder.

    2. Put the other two files to the desktop or other place.

This will disable the MANUAL graphics switching too. To enable it, run Enable Swithcable Graphics. To disable run the other file.

To turn off the second HDD's standby mode: (for example on Acer 7745)

    1. Copy the hdparm, hdparm-run files to C:\Program Files (x86)\hdparm\bin\ folder. If you have 32 bit system, copy to: C:\Program Files\hdparm\bin\ folder.

    2. Copy the hdparm 64 bit.lnk if you have 64 bit system, or hdparm 32 bit.lnk if you have 32 bit system to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

When the Windows starts, it disables the APM feature. When you access it first, it won't go to standby anymore. After waking from sleeping mode, you have to run again the hdparm file from the Startup folder. (It's in the Start menu)

The files are in the attachment.
