Hey, basically I am going to purchase a intel X9100 for my acer aspire 8930G
and i am wondering what is the differences of the stepping. and advantages disadvantages..

i know that some have less heat and such but why would they sell them aswell as the ones that produce more heat and are more expensive..

when i say core stepping i mean like CO/ OEM/ ES/ QS and things like that

Any help wouldn't go a miss! thanks

you want the C0 revision or OEM
the ES is the engineering sample

You really want the E0 stepping.

    It's much better than C0...

ES/QS vs OEM shouldn't matter, as long as it has temp sensors and full features enabled.
