    I probably should have been more clear - I meant a different type of keyboard than the Acer stock 1410/1810 - another make or brand with different / better keyboard?

    About the only way to answer this question is to stand in a parts store trying them out. Keyboards are only made by a few makers but each OEM customer will want some change to something to suit a particular laptop design.

    Your question is therefore a bit like saying will VW seats fit in my Mini. In principle they might . . but hard to know where to go from there unless you have a lot of money to spare or friends who dont mind you dismantling their laptops :)
